I have asked why and they dont seem to b able to answer us fully. They don't seem to be concerned. I have been reading up on this and I fear this could be due to antibodies? Does anyone know if there is a separate test not done on at this stage to confirm antibodies We r on waiting list for ivf. Will we get answers at that stage? I cant help feeling this is why we r not achieving pregnancy.
Imprisonment-associated sperm clumping and male infertility.
We have had four failed attempts at treatment. They now tell us that my husband has 'clumping' of his sperm. Please could you tell me what we can do to help this? Does cooling the scrotum work?
Advice please. Sperm clumping together? - Fertility Network UK
Many people have naturally thick semen. You should only keep an eye on it or consider seeing your doctor if you experience other symptoms. Semen texture varies widely from person to person. Your unique biology can affect the smell, taste, and texture.
When you consider that a fairly large proportion of infertility is due to the male factor, it is surprising that treatment options for the male have been limited until recently. Nearly 20 years ago, all we could offer the couple with significant male factor infertility was artificial insemination with semen from a donor, artificial insemination with the husband's semen into the cervical mucus, or repair of a varicocele. During the last decade, we've seen a great deal of interest in the workup and treatment of the male. This interest has paralleled advances in ART and the need to prepare the sperm for these advanced techniques.
