When I first started crossdressing I did not shave my legs. Then if I was wearing an outfit that needed patterned or dark hose I would put those on over top of the other leg wear. This method of disguising hairy legs as smooth legs worked pretty well in the winter months. Summer was a different story. For one thing heat and humidity made the multi-hose method very uncomfortable. While fine in most air-conditioned buildings, getting to and from those buildings could make you sweat.
Washing your hosiery. We recommend you wash your tights in one of the easily-obtainable netting wash bags which are available from most supermarkets these days - we stock one if you have problems getting hold of them - and wash as 'delicates' on a 40 degree or lower wash. Most manufacturers recommend that you wash new tights before wearing them; this removes any residual dyes etc. The result is that your tights will feel more comfortable; you may find as we have from years of experience that the tights will feel softer and silkier with each subsequent wash.
