Mature referrers august 2018

We talked to the students about common mental health issues, spotting signs of someone struggling with their mental health and tips for dealing with emotional stress. Students were encouraged to consider ways of looking after themselves and their role as 'supportive listeners and referrers' as opposed to 'therapists'. After treating the students to a break of hot chocolate and biscuits the second part of the afternoon was led by The Samaritans. They talked to the group about active listening, reflecting and using open questions. The thirty students, including six 6th formers all volunteered for this important role and their behaviour was exemplary. They were engaged, focused, mature and an absolute credit to Chichester High School.

The CCIS series is devoted to the publication of proceedings of computer science conferences. Its aim is to efficiently disseminate original research results in informatics in printed and electronic form. While the focus is on publication of peer-reviewed full papers presenting mature work, inclusion of reviewed short papers reporting on work in progress is welcome, too. Besides globally relevant meetings with internationally representative program committees guaranteeing a strict peer-reviewing and paper selection process, conferences run by societies or of high regional or national relevance are also considered for publication.
